Cross Country is a winter running activity that is supported by the club from local league level to national level.
As well as being an individual sport it also incorporates a team component where the first few runners (number depends on the competition) have their finishing positions added together, and the club with the lowest total wins, and also with team relays.
Our local league is the North Yorkshire & South Durham (NYSD) which caters for all ages from 8 to 80. Individual and team points are awarded at each fixture and awards are made to the top teams and individuals at the end of the season. This the basis of the clubs individual championship as well.
In addition to the league there are Championships:
North Eastern Counties
The club pays the entry fees for all of the above.
