Clay Bank West Fell Race - 10/11/13

It was another successful day for New Marske Harriers' women as they raced away with the individual and team wins. The Clay Bank West race is a short A-rated race taking in three climbs totaling 300m+ over the relatively short distance of 6.7km.
Kay Neesam (36:28) came in first lady in event 4 of the Esk Valley Winter Series and 24th overall, along with Helen Whitney and Joanne Goldsmith (48:22) to claim team victory from Durham Fell Runners.
In the men's competition Ben Thompson (43:30) was first home from the group in 49th well inside the top half of the 117 finisher field, Nic O'Grady (45:58) finished 66th, Mick McGurk 75th (4th -M60), and Ronnie Sherwood 89th and 1st in the M70's. The mens team with David Heath in 55th (44:30) finished 5th overall.
