Russ dashes to PB in Leeds

A new race on Russ's calendar "The Leeds Abbey Dash" brought a PB. A pleasing 30min 35 second finish, in rather damp misty conditions. It didn't stop local friend Johnny Taylor finishing in 29:23 seconds to take first place, a brilliant victory, as the final sprint was a close run battle, a long uphill gradient to the welcoming crowds on the finish line.  Out for his morning long run El Jackson came along to share success stories following his 2k run indoor at Sheffield the previous day. Certainly a hairstyle designed with speed in mind!  Within the 6,000+ throng Erin Pearson, 42:18, Jim Conaghan 50:04, 1st V75 and Phil Stone 55:51 enjoyed good results .

Maltby 7

Well done to Erin Pearson who clinched her first overall victory in the Maltby 7 in a time of 48:27.    Mark Bradley was 3rd M50 in 45:26 and Jim Conaghan was pipped in to 2nd place in the M70 category in a time of 57:46.  Also running were Doug Scott, Janet Todd and John Smith.
