At the recent AGM it was agreed to keep the club subscriptions for 2019 as they were for 2018.

The fees will be as follows:

Senior Full Member      £36 (£29 if paid before end of March)

Junior Member              £32 (£25 if paid before end of March)

Minnow (under 11)         £10

Second Claim                £10

Associate                       £10

We are moving to a new payment system so please read the attached document very carefully, as it explains what to expect, as renewal emails will be sent shortly.

If you are a parkrunner – please make sure that you have New Marske Harriers set as your club in your parkrun profile, that way we can pick up your results for use in the club parkrun championship.

Equally, should you leave New Marske Harriers, please remove the club from your parkrun profile!

Other than club vests, all club kit will now only be available from Motif8 – see the attached for further details. This means that you will buy club branded gear directly from them, so that the club does not have buy and store stock.

Good luck to those running at National Cross Country Championships next week

Well done to Eli Barnbrook the only member selected to represent the North East at the Intercounty XC Championships early in March.

Can I remind you that it is that time of year – AGM time, this year on 13th February at St Thomas Church Hall starting at 7pm – see the agenda below.

As usual we always hope to recruit new committee members, in particular we have vacancies for Club Secretary and Volunteer Coordinator.

I was in Glasgow last week and saw this in a shop window:

Whose job is it?

This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done, and Everybody was asked to it. Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it, Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realised that Everybody wouldn’t do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

So can Somebody new stand for the committee!

We are changing over to a new online platform for club membership subscriptions (more about this in a future email). However, one of the advantages will be the ability to SMS (text) messages as well as emails to all or groups of members. Clearly SMS messages cannot be as long as an email, it will not always be appropriate to use them in preference to email – but they may be used as well as an email to flag up that you have been sent an email.

If the email is a general one sent to all or a large number of members, and doesn’t contain specific individual information, it will also be posted on the club website (like this email and including this email).

Use the link below to view

As an example, when subs renewals are due on 1st March we will send everyone an email with appropriate links, and we will also send SMS telling you that email has been sent.
