Guisborough 3 Tops - 02/11/14

Another great day on the fells for New Marske on a beautiful day for the Guisborough 3 Tops  Race.  Taking in Highcliffe, Roseberry Topping and Hanging Stone the 9 mile race is a category A fell race.   Kay Neesam went out strong from the start breaking the course record to finish first in 75:05 also picking up the team prize for New Marske along with Kath Aspin 4th and Jo Goldsmith 15th.  

In the men’s race Paul Brown in his debut fell race was 3rd as the leaders summited Highcliffe, but tweaked his ankle shortly after and had to retire.   Paul Darroch was not far behind and went on to finish a strong 6th place.  Ian Hague was 4th Vet 45 in 36th place, Nick O’Grady was 75th, David Heath 82nd and Ronnie Sherwood 1st Vet 70 in 102nd place.
